The Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) tracks the Real Estate Select Sector Index, giving investors exposure to U.S. equity real estate companies. It holds primarily large‑cap S&P 500 constituents classified as real estate, mainly REITs (excluding mortgage REITs) across specialized, health‑care, retail, residential, industrial, and management‑development segments, with virtually all assets located in the United States. The ETF employs a rules‑based, full‑replication approach that weights holdings by market capitalization to closely mirror the index.
